Board and volunteers

We are happy to dedicate ourselves to the club, the members and the sport and do our best to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We are chosen by you. Pleased to meet you.

Our rules

Without a board or people that volunteer for the club we cannot keep it running. Of course we want to train hard, play well and have great parties but we need some rules for that

Statutes and Internal Regulations

In the Statuten and the Huishoudelijk Reglement we have layed out how the club is organized and what the rules are. Sometimes these rules need to be updated. (last update 12th of december 2013) because times, people and habits change. These changes are always discussed and approved in the general assembly of members

The bylaws have been established by the notary and are rarely, if ever, changed. We recommend that you review the rules. Since this isn't always the most exciting reading material, we've summarized the most important rules for you here.

House rules in short

  • We play on non marking shoes (so no black soles)
  • We help cleaning up whenever possible
  • We always put our label on the board when free playing and take it home at the end of the evening
  • We make sure the venue is kept in a neat and clean manner
  • We are on time for trainings so the trainer can start at the designated time
  • If we can't make it to the training we tell the trainer beforehand
  • We accept and respect everyone (regardless of religion, skin color, or sexual orientation).
  • We respect the rules of the game
  • We always conduct ourselves with sportsmanship and fairness in every match.

General Policy Plan

We must also look ahead and think about the future so that we can continue to enjoy playing badminton just as much. For that, we have the general Policy plan 2022-2026.During the General Assembly of May 2017, we approved this plan. We established our vision for the coming years for a period of four years.

Every two years, we update the plan, and each year we evaluate whether it is still relevant. We use this plan as the basis for the Annual Plan, which includes the budget, agreements for the upcoming season, and short-term plans.

Volunteers

Every club is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers. Active members who are willing to take on various tasks within the club help ensure that everyone has a great time. At Iduna, no fewer than 50 volunteers are regularly involved. If you would like to sign up as a volunteer, please do so via this form.

History, honorary members and members of merit

The club has a long history. BC Iduna has been part of the Sports Association ULTC-lduna, which was originally founded on 17 January 1974 and which played the racquet sports badminton, tennis and table tennis. The badminton branch is still quite young; on 28 December 2000, our club went independent.
